An afternoon per site
Checking a client’s site by hand ate whole afternoons.
Ask an agency how healthy a client’s website is and you’ll get a pause, then a long afternoon. Someone opens a dozen different tools, copies results into a document and tries to remember what they checked last time.
Things slip through. Does Google understand the page? Can AI assistants read it? Can someone using a screen reader find their way around? Two people can run the same check a week apart and get two different answers. And at the end, there’s still nothing tidy to hand the client.
I wanted one tool that does the whole check, gives the same answer every time and ends with something a client can actually read.
Arithmetic first, words second
The score is plain arithmetic. The AI only writes the sentences.
It clicked when I decided what the AI should not do. If an AI picks the score, the score wanders. Ask twice, get two numbers. That’s no good when a client is paying for the answer.
So Beacon splits the job in two. Fixed rules look at the site and add up the score, the same way every time. Only then does the AI step in, once, to turn the findings into clear English. It can explain a problem, but it can’t invent one or change a number. The same site always gets the same score.
Six things worth checking
Everything a proper site check usually spreads across a dozen tools.
Beacon looks at six areas and rolls them into one score.
- Search. A clear title and description, and a page that looks right when it’s shared.
- Business details. Whether search engines can tell what the business is and what it offers.
- AI readiness. Whether AI assistants can find the content and read it easily.
- Speed. How quickly the page loads, and whether it jumps around while it does.
- Discoverability. Whether search engines can reach every page that matters.
- Accessibility. Whether people using screen readers or zoom can get around.
Whole site or one page
Hand it a website, or zoom in on a single page.
Point Beacon at a website and it finds the pages on its own, looks at one of each kind and tells you how many pages each problem touches. Or hand it a single page when that’s all you care about. Either way, it’s one link in and a full check out in under a minute.
A report to hand over
One file a client can open, share or print.
Every check ends in a single report that downloads, shares or prints as a PDF. It opens with Fix these first, the three changes that matter most, then the scores for each area and each part of the site. Run it again later and it shows what got better and what got worse. For whoever does the fixing, there’s a set of instructions ready to paste straight into an AI coding assistant.

What changed
An afternoon of checking, down to under a minute.
What used to take hours now takes one link and less than a minute. All six areas get checked in a single pass, the score holds steady from one run to the next, and the agency walks away with a report it can send straight to the client, most important fixes first.
