## Hearing it from a customer

**The worst way to learn your site is down.**

It usually goes like this. The site goes down, nobody on the team notices, and the first sign is an annoyed message from a customer. By then the damage is done, and the team is scrambling to work out what broke while answering the same question again and again.

Most teams try to cover this with three or four separate tools, one to watch the site, one to send alerts, another to post updates. They still find out late. I wanted one place where the team hears first and customers can see what’s happening without writing in.

## Watching what matters

**Websites, servers, domains and the jobs that run overnight.**

Altimey can watch a website, check that a certain word still appears on a page, make sure a server answers, or wait for a sign of life from a job that runs at night. Each check is set to what the team cares about, how often to look and what counts as healthy.

It also sends a reminder before a site’s security certificate or domain name runs out, two quiet problems that take whole sites offline. Teams can tag, group and search everything they watch, pause or copy a check, and bring in a whole list at once from a spreadsheet.

## Seeing where it slowed

**Every check, broken down to the step that was slow.**

Each check shows how fast the site answered over time, with the quickest, average and slowest results and a full history behind them. Any single check splits into the steps it took, so it’s clear exactly where the slowness came from. When something does break, it becomes an incident the team can talk through on its own page.

## Alerts where people are

**Slack, Teams, PagerDuty and a dozen more.**

Alerts go out when something goes down, when it comes back, and before a certificate or domain runs out. They land in the tools teams already use, from Slack, Microsoft Teams and Discord to PagerDuty, Telegram and Zapier. Teammates can join as editors or viewers, or simply get the alerts without ever logging in.

## A page customers check

**An honest status page keeps the support inbox quiet.**

Every team can publish a public status page showing the checks they choose, with their own logo and colours and a light or dark look. Customers look there instead of writing in, so the team spends the outage fixing the problem, not answering tickets.

Free, Solo, Team and Enterprise plans are built in, billed monthly or yearly, so Altimey is ready to sell and can grow with each customer.
